Easy to understand:
Whatever method chosen, the information provided must be easier for consumers to understand. For example, the JUST label breaks the Diversity rating into Non-discrimination, gender diversity and racial diversity. This is more digestible for the average consumer, when compared to the Novethic SRI label, which is created for more sophisticated analysis by experts. However, they are probably overly broad and subjective.
Monitoring and Enforcement:
There are many problems here but the one that I want to focus on is product vs company ratings. Namely, should the rating, or label, be given to a company as a whole, or to individual products/projects? I think the question here is really about monitoring and enforcement. Is it more realistic to monitor/enforce the regulations based on the entire corporation or product-by-product? Further, should an organization choose to adopt the ISO guidelines, there is a lack of monitoring and enforcement. The guidelines describe how and what to disclose, but not how the reports will be monitored. Further, since the guidelines are fully voluntary, there is no enforcement.
